Religious content disclaimer

Last updated: November 2026

Gen Deen aims to be accurate and to show its sources. It is a study aid, not a replacement for qualified scholars and teachers.

Quran

The Arabic text and audio come from Quran.com. Translations are published human translations by the translators named in the translation list; where our main source has no translation in a language we use another published translation (QuranEnc.com, fawazahmed0/quran-api or AlQuran Cloud), and otherwise English. We do not machine-translate the Quran. A translation can never fully carry the meaning of the Arabic; when in doubt, ask a scholar.

Hadith

Hadith come from published collections and open datasets. Each hadith shows its grade (such as Sahih, Hasan or Da’if) where a reliable grading is in our data. “Ungraded” means we have no grading, not that a hadith is rejected. Weak and disputed hadith are shown, clearly marked, so that you can see everything found; do not rely on a weak hadith on its own. Gradings and translations can differ between scholars and editions; always check the source link.

AI assistant

Recitation tutor

The tutor helps you practise listening and repeating. It compares what your device’s speech recognition hears with the text, so it can miss or misjudge sounds, accents and tajweed rules. It does not replace a qualified Quran teacher and does not guarantee correct tajweed.

Prayer times and calendar

Prayer times and Hijri dates are calculated and depend on the method, your location and local moon-sighting. Please follow your local mosque or authority.
