Terms of use
Last updated: November 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Gen Deen. By using the site or creating an account you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. The service
Gen Deen is a free website for reading the Quran and Hadith, asking questions with an AI study assistant, practising recitation with a tutor, and watching educational videos. Core reading and learning features stay free. We may add, change or remove features at any time.
2. Who can use it
Anyone can read without an account. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old and give accurate details (full name, date of birth, email). Younger learners may use the site without an account, ideally with a parent or guardian.
3. Your account
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not share or sell accounts or pretend to be someone else.
- Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- You can delete your account at any time (see the Privacy policy).
4. Acceptable use
Please use the site respectfully. You agree not to:
- break the law, or harass, threaten, defame or hate against any person or group;
- post spam, malware, or content that is abusive, sexual, or deliberately false about religion;
- attack, overload or probe the site, bypass limits (including the AI usage limits), or use bots or scrapers that harm the service;
- try to access other peopleās data or administrator areas;
- misuse the AI assistant, for example to generate harmful content or to pass off its answers as a religious ruling.
5. Blocking and suspension
We may warn, suspend or block an account, or remove content, if these terms are broken, if the account is unsafe, or to protect other users. A blocked account cannot sign in or save data. If you think a block is a mistake, email hello@gen-deen.com or use the contact form in the Support section.
6. Religious content, AI and the tutor
Please read the Religious content disclaimer. In short: the AI assistant and tutor are study aids, not scholars or teachers; nothing here is a fatwa; and for personal or complex matters you should ask a qualified scholar.
7. Content and licences
- The Quran, Hadith and translations come from third-party sources, shown with their credits. Their own licences and copyrights stay with their owners; you may read and share short extracts for personal, non-commercial learning with credit, but do not copy whole collections.
- The siteās design, code, text written by us, and our videos belong to Gen Deen or its licensors. You may link to us and share pages, but not copy the site or present it as your own.
- What you send us (messages, suggestions) you allow us to use to improve the service. You keep ownership of it.
8. Donations and support
Support is voluntary and goes through the payment links shown on the site. Donations help keep the resources free; they do not buy special rights or features. Refunds are handled by the payment provider you used.
9. Third-party services and links
The site uses and links to other services (for example YouTube, Quran.com, prayer-time services). We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or availability.
10. No guarantees
We work hard on accuracy, but the site is provided āas isā and āas availableā. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or complete. Prayer times, translations, gradings and AI answers can contain mistakes; please verify important matters.
11. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Gen Deen and the people who run it are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss from relying on the siteās content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
12. Ending
You can stop using the site at any time. We may end or change the service. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as content rights and liability) continue after that.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell account holders. Using the site after a change means you accept it.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where the operator of Gen Deen is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms: email hello@gen-deen.com or use the contact form in the Support section.
