โImran b. Husain said that when he came upon a story-teller who was reciting the Qurโฤn and then asking for payment he first uttered the words, โWe belong to God and to Him do we returnโ and then told that he had heard Godโs messenger say, โWhen anyone recites the Qurโฤn, let him ask a reward for it from God, for people will arise who will recite the Qurโฤn and ask a reward for it from men.โ Ahmad and Tirmidhฤซ transmitted it.
