Frequently asked questions

Is Gen Deen free?

Yes. Reading the Quran and Hadith, the AI assistant and the tutor are free for everyone, with no sign-up needed. Donations are optional and help us cover the costs.

Where do the Quran and hadith come from?

The Quran text and translations come from established open sources (Quran.com and the public-domain Tanzil/quran-api data). Hadith come from recognised collections such as Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah and others, with scholars' grades shown where the source has them. Every page names its source.

Can I trust the AI assistant?

It is built to answer only from verses and hadith found in our library, and it shows each source in full so you can read it yourself. It can still make mistakes, so please check the sources. It is a study aid, not a mufti. For personal rulings, ask a qualified scholar.

Does the tutor correct my tajweed?

No. It listens to the words you say and tells you which ones it did not hear clearly. It cannot judge tajweed rules or the exact sound of letters. Please also learn with a qualified teacher.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything works without one, and your bookmarks and progress are saved on your device. If you sign in, they follow you to every device.

How do I install Gen Deen on my phone?

Open the site in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone), then choose “Add to Home screen” or “Install app” from the browser menu. It opens like an app.

Which languages are supported?

The Quran and Hadith can be read in many languages, and the assistant answers in the language you ask in. The menus are being translated; if yours is missing they show in English.

How can I help or report a mistake?

Use the contact form in the Support section. We welcome corrections, suggestions, volunteers and partners.
